V.Society takes its name from Vitruvius, a 1st-century BCE Roman architect, engineer, and author whose treatise “De architectura” (On Architecture), and principles of Firmitas (Strength), Utilitas (Utility/Usefulness), Venustas (Beauty) remains influential in shaping the philosophy and aesthetics of Western architecture.
